TOTAL FEEDBACK clinical study

The study entitled Translation of a Diagnostic Test for Lupus Flare Prediction from Bench to Clinic, “TOTAL FEEDBACK”, is investigating the presence of certain blood proteins before and after a lupus flare has occurred.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a disease of the immune system affecting an estimated 1.5 million Americans. One of the hallmarks of the disease is the periodic ‘flares,’ a period of increased disease activity, which can lead to a reduced quality of life or even hospitalization. In the TOTAL FEEDBACK study, our team of researchers is investigating the clues present in the bloodstream before a lupus flare even occurs.

Recruiting patients at several locations across the United States, Progentec TM is working with both patients and rheumatologists to evaluate and study patient’s bloodwork over the span of six months. The findings of TOTAL FEEDBACK will directly aid in the development of future technologies.

Continuing Progentec TM Diagnostic’s predictive research, our team has partnered with two Lupus Centers of Excellence in the United States: The Mayo Clinic and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. With the purpose of refining an already-developed predictive technology, patients at these premier institutions are having a unique combination of the immune system proteins in the blood studied to help direct patient care to avoid long-lasting damage. Patients at both locations are being actively recruited to participate on this study with the goal of supporting further treatments and therapies for patients with lupus.
