Progentec Diagnostics Test Ordering SOP

We are proud to partner with Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL) to make our specialized tests available through Mayo’s reference laboratory network.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to order our two Lupus tests:

  • The Lupus Disease Activity Index (L-DAI) Test, and

  • The Lupus Flare Risk Index (L-FRI) Test

Scenario 1. YOUR ORGANIZATION USES MAYO CLINIC LABORATORIES

If your hospital, clinic, or health system already uses Mayo Clinic Laboratories as its reference laboratory, Progentec’s L-DAI and L-FRI tests can be ordered directly through Mayo’s existing platforms.

  • Use the system your site typically uses for Mayo reference testing.

  • Search for the Progentec tests using the Mayo Test IDs:
    L-DAI: [Test ID: 621645]
    L-FRI: [Test ID: 621644]

  • Select and place the order as you would for any other off-site Mayo clinical laboratory test

  • Collect the specimen following the collection requirements on the Mayo Test Catalog page

  • Label the specimen per Mayo requirements and include patient identifiers

  • Ship the sample using your regular Mayo Clinic Laboratories courier

Note: No separate Progentec account setup or billing is needed— your Mayo client account handles all logistics.

Scenario 2. YOU ARE UNSURE IF YOUR ORGANIZATION USES MAYO CLINIC LABORATORIES

Scenario 3. YOUR ORGANIZATION IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH MAYO CLINIC LABORATORIES

If Mayo Clinic Laboratories does not service your hospital, clinic, or practice, you can order directly through Progentec Diagnostics.

  • Complete the Progentec onboarding form online and submit to schedule your onboarding session

  • During the onboarding session, Progentec will set up a secure cloud-based LIS portal for your clinic to streamline ordering and reporting

  • Once this step is completed, you can start ordering tests using the clinical kits supplied to you. For each test:

    • If you are NOT using the LIS portal to order Complete the Test Requisition Form included in your clinical kit

    • Ensure all highlighted sections in the requisition form are filled out.

    • Follow the instructions included in the test kit for detailed guidance on sample collection and shipping.

    • Standard blood draw: all supplies are included in the clinical kit

    • No sample processing is required

    • Ship overnight at ambient temperature using return labels included in the kit

    • Samples may be drawn and shipped Monday-Thursday. Do not draw samples or ship samples on Fridays as shipments will not reach us within the required 36 hours!

Note: Samples must arrive at the Progentec lab no later than 36 hrs. after collection. Samples not meeting this requirement will be rejected by the lab and require recollection.
